Wedding Trip: Post Nuptial Beach Day!

On Saturday, we ventured down Overseas Highway to Bahia Honda State park. All three of the beaches in this state park are beautiful, and we spent a mostly lovely afternoon swimming. Unfortunately, Jer stepped down hard on the above Conch (say it Konk) within minutes of arriving at the beach. I'm not happy about it, even though this picture has me smiling.

Later we walked along the beach and found it littered with Man 'o War jellyfish. Some were small and looked like a bubblegum bubble- others were large with a defined "fin". Another beach goer warned us that it is easy to miss them in the sea grass that washes ashore, and luckily no one was stung.

Iguanas roam the keys- and some are quite large. This fellow was enjoying the sunshine in our backyard.

After a long day at the beach, we went to Castaway's for dinner. Dad and I were ready for some sushi. and we even found enough fully cooked rolls for mom to eat some too.
